The Ceiling Rose: Plaster Centrepieces in Authentic Period Styles

 

The Heritage Range includes a collection of over 23 ceiling roses in classic designs for you to choose from, all of which are specifically handmade using genuine period patterns. Victorian ceiling roses are especially popular today and you will find several beautiful designs above that are in keeping with that era as well as examples of authentic Georgian ceiling roses which are also widely sought after in the UK and further afield.

Period ceiling roses offer a focal point to a room and often reflect the style of the cornice. They were originally designed to protect the ceiling from the smoke of candles and gas lamps before electric lighting was introduced. The type of the room and style of the chandelier/lighting are all important factors when choosing a ceiling rose, which as a general rule should be at least be the same diameter as the chandelier in rooms with high ceilings.
